amalfi cathedral

This picture was taken just inside the Amalfi Cathedral, in an open-to-the-sky room with palm trees and columns.

Most of my panoramic images are taken with a tripod and a special panoramic head, all of which is heavy and awkward to carry on long trips. While on vacation in Italy recently, I brought an iPad instead of a computer, and found a 99¢ app that can take panoramic pictures by waving the iPad around. The iPad is easier to travel with than a computer, but not such a great replacement for a proper panorama setup. Still, I wouldn't have taken this image otherwise.
